Aim of the transfer activities

The BIOSIRE Thematic Transfer Activities aims to identify new regions outside the project interested in promoting the use of alternative fuel and clean vehicles in tourist areas, engage in a dialogue with them and offer specific services in order to develop tailored transfer programmes.

Who can benefit?

The BIOSIRE Thematic Transfer Activities target regions from across Europe, especially from New Member States. Particular attention will be paid to Institutions which belong to networks such as Civitas Catilist, Energie-Cités, etc..

They will be invited to express their interest in joining the BIOSIRE Thematic Transfer Activities by completing a dedicated application form. Out of this group, 3 regions will be selected to participate to the BIOSIRE Thematic Transfer Activities.

What does the BIOSIRE Thematic Transfer Activities offer?

The 3 selected Transfer Regions will receive a number of benefits and services from the BIOSIRE project having preferential access to the project’s key reports and closed events. Moreover they will receive a tailor-made and hands-on advice through high level institutional dialogue and technical site visits in any of the BIOSIRE demonstrator sites.
The focus of these visits would be on putting high level public administration and political representatives into contact to discuss how best to activate enabling strategies and to move towards market transformation. These testimonials between high level actors is considered to be an important motivation factor and lesson learning opportunity for areas interested in developing such programmes.

Key reports
The Transfer Regions will have preferential access to the following BIOSIRE to key reports:
  • Roadmap for Changing Behaviour for demonstrator groups (March 2011)
  • Planning for future broadcasting upscaling (March 2011)
  • Policy Recommendations and Lessons Learned (July 2011)
  • Revised Report on future planning (September 2011)

Key events
The Transfer Regions will be invited to the following BIOSIRE events (up to your expenses - no reimbursement for travel and accommodation will be provided to participants):
  • Croatian National Workshop on Changing Behaviour ( April 2010)
  • 4th Biosire Consortium Meeting in Poland (September 2020)
  • Polish National Workshop on Changing Behaviour (September 2010)
  • 5th Biosire Consortium Meeting in Venice (March 2011)
  • Biosire Final Conference

High level institutional dialogue and exchange programme (Dec. 2010 - June 2011)

The availability and accessibility of the standard outputs mentioned above will be supplemented by a more tailor-made and individualised approach and service, through expert advice from BIOSIRE cities, based on common areas of interest and through the so-called high level institutional dialogue.

The high level institutional dialogue will particularly focus on exchange between key decision-makers from the BISOIRE and the 3 Transfer Regions. The high level institutional dialogue for the 3 selected regions entails the following activities:
  • Bilateral meeting with key actors to discuss common key areas of interest.
  • Technical visits of New Transfer Regions to BIOSIRE demonstrator sites, based on key areas of interest.

Cities and regions that are interested in joining the BIOSIRE Thematic Transfer Activities are invited to complete the Application Form and send it to NET Engineering SpA

Application Form (717 kB)

Following the application forms received from interested cities and regions, 3 New Transfer Regions will be selected to join the BIOSIRE Thematic Transfer Activities and their specific fields of interest within the use of alternative fuel and clean vehicles will be mapped and matched with the BIOSIRE demonstrator sites.
