RAMseS (Renewable Energy Agricultural Multi-purpose System for Farmers)The project aims at a first step towards bypassing all the problems related to the progressively increasing prices of fuels derived from fossil resources. This increase in prices is especially damaging for agriculture. Modern agriculture is heavily dependent on fossil fuels for agricultural vehicles, machines, processors, etc. This goal will be attained by developing an integrated all-solar power system. The innovative element of such a system is the dual use of batteries, which not only provide energy storage, but also power for an all purpose electric vehicle. The envisaged system is especially suitable for Southern Mediterranean countries where the potential for renewable energy is very high in terms of solar irradiation. BioDieNet BioDieNet is a project by the Intelligent Energy for Europe Programme to facilitate the uptake of used cooking oil to produce biodiesel. The objective of BioDieNet is the promotion of localised biodiesel production for transportation purposes, by means of the active involvement of local Energy Agencies in more than 10 European countries. CO2 NeutralpFGM-AMOR project dealing with CO2 and toxic emissions as well as their negative effects on the Alpine environment, as well as the threat of a potential future energy crisis and the present lack of adequate solutions to respond to it. Some expertise in using alternative propulsion technologies exists in diverse Alpine locations. Visit www.co2neutralp.eu for more information. |

Cross Boarder Energy Strategy for PannoniaThe aim of the project is to deal with the sector of sustainable energy in a bilateral and interregional cooperation between Austrian and Hungarian regions on a regional, communal and the private level. In the long run the project is aimed at a complete independency of (mostly fossil) energy imports. Special Project Goals:
- Planning and development of local or decentralized energy concepts
- Knowledge and know-how transfer concerning sustainable energy strategies, the fields of energy saving, energy storage and energy production
- Pushing the use of regional available potential of renewable energy sources
- Development and supervision of a cross-border energy cluster
- Awareness raising to the topic of sustainable energy development
- Preparation and implementation of joint projects in the fields of saving, storing and producing of renewable energy

BIONIC - Biofuels Supply and UseBIONIC address the issues of biofuel supply and use in transport specifically from the perspective of Local Authorities and will promote developments in the regional production and use of transport biofuels.
BIONIC aims to provide an overview of biofuels opportunities and user needs in partner communities and will establish regional biofuels networks to run during and after the end of the project.
BIONIC establishes a series of regional networks, led by Local Authorities and involving stakeholders at all stages of the supply and end-use chain, aimed at increasing the take-up of biofuels in the transport sector.
The project is part funded under the European Commissions' Intelligent Energy Europe programme and will run for three years ending in November 2010.
